 We went last Saturday out to http://www.connerscornfieldmaze.com/Home.html

which is located out in Hilliard, about 45 minutes away.  Sam had a blast trying to navigate the maze, playing with the farm toys, riding on trains and wagons, and most of all the goats at the petting zoo.  The weather was great!

After spending the whole week in Chicago, I got back Friday to catch up with Sam and Becky.  We went to The Loop for dinner on Friday, after Sam had his Halloween party at Cambridge Prep.  Saturday he played his last soccer game of the season (1 goal and 2 assists!) in the afternoon.  We got him dressed to go Trick or Treating over at Kate's house (Jeff and Nancy too).  He decided to be Luke Skywalker with his light saber.  We got up Sunday and had breakfast on the backporch.  Sam really digs his Bearcat sweatshirt and wants to go to a UC game sometime!

Today was Sam's first day of Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) and Becky's first day back to school at Abess Park.  Summer is over!  I've also added some photos of the end of our summer.  Sam enjoys cookies and trying to play Dance Dance Revolution.  Becky and Sam came down to the Landing for one of my gigs and he enjoyed splashing around the fountain.  Then Joanne (that's Nana to Sam) came down to visit for a weekend and took Sam tubing down the Ichetucknee Springs with Becky.  We also took Sam to a Jax Suns baseball game.  He liked the hotdogs and ice cream!

 

Lastly you'll see two pictures of our summer project.  Becky did a great job of staining the concrete on our back porch--it really looks nice.  We also added some new plants (a pineapple!) to make it a great space to hang out.

I've uploaded some pictures of what we've been up to in July and August.  Sam enjoying some corn on the cob, and enjoying the Florida wildlife around our house.  Then we tried to see a Space Shuttle launch down in Titusville.  No launch, but Sam enjoyed the trip.  He visited the dentist and got a prize for having great teeth.  We went to Gatlinburg to hang out with my folks and Kevin's family at the Wilderness Lodge and waterpark.  He had a blast with his cousins Colin and Cara.  We visited Hillbilly golf while we were there. Once back, we made some homeade ice cream, and then there are some shots of Sam learning to ride his bike at Abess Park Elementary School.  Hope you enjoy the pics!
